Job Description

The Project Manager position is responsible for coordinating the implementation and adoption of The DRCâ™s new accommodations management system, Accessible Information Management (AIM), which will be branded as UAccess. This position will serve as content expert and manager with respect to UAccess and all connected components including updating webpages, developing educational materials, developing and coordinating training, conducting outreach, and collecting feedback to inform process efficiency for coordinating and implementing accommodations. The University is expected to comply with the Minnesota RISE Act, which intersects with the adoption for UAccess and the Project manager will play a critical role to ensure compliance. This position will also coordinate employee engagement enhancement within DRC.  

This is a 100%, temporary one year appointment in the academic administrative personnel series (job code 9341A1, Admin Consultant/Analyst1).

JOB DUTIES:
  • Serve as project manager to complete UAccess implementation and adoption in a timely, efficient, and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with DRC unit leads, Rochester, OIT, and others  to complete setup and for DRC staff to fully utilize UAccess.
  • Consult with University leaders and constituents on UAccess utilization and work with DRC director to address items identified. update webpages, develop educational materials, develop and coordinate training, and conduct outreach to support the rollout for UAccess and associated service delivery. 
  • Develop and rollout communication pertaining to how constituents connect with DRC to set up accommodations as well as how DRC and partners manage accommodations implementation. 
  • Coordinate the drafting and execution of a plan to meet compliance with the Minnesota RISE Act. 
  • Coordinate efforts to enhance and improve employee engagement  within the DRC.

WORK DAYS : Monday to Friday

WORK MODE: Hybrid

PAY RANGE: $73,946-$77,500

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelorâ™s degree and 6 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated and sophisticated understanding of the key issues and best practices related to disability and accessibility in higher education. 
  • Meticulously detail oriented  with excellent organizational skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and build relationships with colleagues in a highly consultative environment and to lead groups of people toward a common mission.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively identify and implement process improvements.   
  • Demonstrated superb expressive, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent judgment and problem-solving abilities in complex contexts with competing interests and strong stakeholder viewpoints. 
  • Demonstrated experience in â“ and an ongoing commitment to â“ working effectively with and across diverse communities through an intersectional and justice-focused approach:  including people of color, underrepresented groups and new immigrant populations; American Indians; people with both apparent and non-apparent disabilities; women; people of various gender and sexual identities and expressions; and first-generation students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
