As a
Human Resource Consultant Assistant 1 in the HRS Records unit, you will perform a variety of duties in support of human resource operations and employment compliance. Throughout your work, you will apply established federal, state, University and human resources guidelines, rules, policies and procedures related to personnel records and files. You will frequently review, develop, and maintain accurate records and correspondence to assist clients, produce reports, gather and organize documentation, and collect data. Your work will require maintaining and ensuring a confidential environment at all times.
This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position.
This position is located on the WSU Pullman campus in Pullman, Washington.
Monthly Salary: $3,167 to $4,194 | Range 36 (Steps A - M) | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications: - Three years of office experience OR equivalent education/experience.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated experience providing customer service both in person and/or over the phone.
- Proven ability to perform a variety of tasks at one time, with frequent interruptions.
- Excellent attention to details skills.
Preferred Qualifications: - Six months of experience in the human resource functions such as benefits, recruitment, classification, compensation, employee/labor relations.
- Experience providing clerical/administrative support to multiple individuals.
