Are you passionate about social media and mental health? As a Social Media Content Manager Intern, you'll be part of a team dedicated to improving access to quality mental health care. In this role, you'll use your social media and marketing skills to increase brand awareness for our new outpatient mental health clinic. By building our online presence, you'll help support our therapists and foster relationships with local referral partners and organizations. We're looking for someone who can help us craft a digital presence that reflects our core values, especially authenticity and humor!
What You'll Do:
As the Social Media Content Manager Intern, you'll collaborate with the Clinic Owner to gain hands-on experience managing our online presence through these responsibilities:
Planning: Develop a multi-month social media content calendar with consistent posts each week.
Creating: Turn your content calendar into eye-catching and engaging posts with thoughtful wording.
Posting: Schedule posts using our social media content calendar tool, Soci (training provided).
Engaging: Interact with users in a way that aligns with our brand voice and values.
Reporting: Prepare regular engagement reports to discuss with the Clinic Owner.
Other Tasks: You may also assist with other online marketing activities, such as newsletters.
Requirements:
Strong interest in creating content for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
A portfolio showcasing your success in using social media accounts (e.g., personal or professional accounts, website portfolio, etc.).
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
A proactive approach to identifying opportunities and developing solutions.
Passionate about mental health and therapy.
Strong communication skills and a knack for encouraging community engagement.
Ability to balance creativity and analytical thinking, while being open to experimenting with new ideas.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong skills in writing copy for social media.
Experience in capturing high-quality images and videos (using a smartphone or other devices).
A good eye for design.
Knowledge of design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or Canva.
Weekly Hours:
Approximately 5-15 hours per week.
Duration:
Estimated 2-3 months.

Flexible start and end dates.
Location:
Our clinic is located in Wexford, PA (just north of Pittsburgh), but this role is primarily remote. You're welcome to work from the clinic whenever you like. Some in-office visits may be required for content creation.
Compensation:
This is an unpaid internship. However, many universities offer stipends or academic credit for unpaid internships, so we encourage you to check with your university's career center for more information.
We offer flexible work-from-home options.
