Hybrid Work Options Available
$58,400/annual Minimum Starting Base Pay* + KPI Bonuses + Competitive Benefits
Qualifications may warrant greater starting base pay within the full pay range. Individual base pay is determined by experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for assisting management in developing and executing strategic recruiting initiatives for the Cooperative to ensure we are attracting and retaining top tier talent.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver recruiting initiatives that support the Cooperative’s strategic staffing initiatives
- Source, screen, and present qualified candidates for recruiting initiatives
- Network and establish professional relationships with colleges, universities, lineman colleges, high schools, utility industry contacts, staffing agencies, technical and industry related associations and organizations
- Assist hiring managers with the development of their recruiting initiatives and staffing plans, including recommending posting venues, internet, social media, and networking sites
- Develop a pool of qualified candidates to support the Cooperative’s hiring strategy
- Research, recommend and build sources for active and passive recruiting
- Assist in the creation of and updates to job descriptions
- Assist HR manager with follow-up with Hiring managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation
- Communicate with all employees to establish rapport and identify candidate leads
- Document and update the recruiting process including use of PEC Systems
- Assist in the development of presentations for use during recruiting activities
- Assist the HR Manager in the development of recruiting reports and metrics utilizing the Human Resources Information System
- Assist the HR Manager with the recruiting budget, including all recruiting materials
- Participate in the prescreening and interview selection process
- Schedule interviews and balance calendars for interviewers and candidates
- Assist in the development of consistent competencies for Cooperative positions

- Ensure that applicants are processed through the Human Resources Information Systems
- Assist in preparing and sending offer packages
- Assist with development and implementation of new processes and systems to increase companies’ recruitment effectiveness
- Maintain the candidate database
- Monitor analytics and work to improve key performance indicators, i.e., time to fill, time to hire, sourcing channel effectiveness, etc.
- Assist in the development of a thorough and effective candidate search strategy
- Advise hiring managers and facilitates/participates in selection decision-making meetings
- Develop and recommend job offer details to hiring managers, including compensation experience ratings and research on internal equity
- Collect, process, and maintain applicant data including, but not limited to, interviewer recommendations and interview results
- Advise managers on the extension of job offers and facilitate/participate in selection decision- making meetings
- Assist with the management of the Employee Referral Program, including advertisement of eligible positions, processing payments for referrals, etc.
- Assist with new hire processing, including background processing, new hire paperwork, I-9 completion, and processing in the HRIS system

- Assist with new hire onboarding and orientation activities, including orientation notifications, post- orientation reporting instructions, boot vouchers, etc.
- Coordinate travel reimbursements for eligible candidates
- Communicate proactively and professionally with candidates and staff
- Provide an exceptional and memorable recruiting experience to our candidates
- Maintain the security of confidential information
- Demonstrate regular and prompt attendance
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned

Minimum Qualifications - (Education, Experience)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
- Directly related experience may substitute for education
- Three to five years recruiting experience
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
