Job Description

Position: Radio Producer

Location: Fargo
Job Type: Full-Time/Part-Time
Reports To: Operations Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a creative and organized Radio Producer to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in overseeing the planning, production, and delivery of high-quality radio content. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, strong technical skills, and experience in radio production, as well as excellent communication and organizational abilities to ensure the smooth operation of live and pre-recorded broadcasts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Production: Produce, and edit engaging radio shows, segments, commercials, and other audio content.
  • Show Planning: Collaborate with hosts, guests, and creative teams to plan show formats, topics, and overall content direction.
  • Broadcast Operations: Oversee live broadcasts and pre-recorded programs to ensure seamless execution, including monitoring technical quality and timing.
  • Audio Editing: Edit audio recordings to meet high-quality production standards using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Audition)
  • Guest Management: Arrange and manage guest appearances, including outreach, scheduling, and preparing materials.
  • Technical Support: Troubleshoot audio equipment, software, and technical issues during broadcasts to maintain smooth operations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and other departments to ensure content aligns with the station's objectives and audience needs.
  • Compliance: Ensure all content adheres to regulatory guidelines, station policies, and copyright laws.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in radio production, broadcasting, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with audio & video production software (e.g., Adobe Audition, VMix, Adobe Premiere Pro) and broadcast equipment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and project management skills to handle multiple broadcasts and timelines.
  • Creativity: A creative mindset with a passion for crafting compelling audio stories and content.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments, meet tight deadlines, and work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if needed.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in live radio or podcast production.
  • Familiarity with FCC regulations and broadcast standards.
