Job Description

The Montefiore Department of Rehabilitation Medicine is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and team-oriented Physiatrist to work at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital (Burke) in White Plains, NY

in the acute inpatient rehabilitation program.

About the Position:

• Full time physicians are part of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Montefiore Health System, and have academic titles within the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
• Candidates should be Board-Certified/Eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).
• Primary responsibilities include the management of acute inpatient rehabilitation patients and may include outpatient and/or consultation responsibilities.
• Leadership and oversight of a multidisciplinary rehab team, including all therapy disciplines, nursing, social work, neuropsychology, and the patient experience team.
• Participation in teaching PM&R residents, fellows, and medical students as teaching faculty through bedside rounds and resident didactics.
• Participation in service activities on behalf of the department, medical school, and profession.
• Opportunities to participate in performance improvement (PI) projects, grant projects and clinical research.

• Burke Rehabilitation Hospital is a member of the Montefiore Health System with an academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
• Burke is a 150-bed free-standing acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital in White Plains, NY with eleven outpatient satellite sites throughout the Bronx, Westchester, and the Hudson Valley region.
• Burke serves a culturally and socioeconomically diverse patient population in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Burke has a residency program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and fellowship programs in Brain Injury Medicine and Sports Medicine.

In addition to a competitive salary of $190,000-$210,000, we offer the opportunity to make more income and productivity incentives. LTD, STD, paid malpractice, health, dental, vision and a 403(b) are also offered.
