The Nail Technician provides luxurious manicure and pedicure services including UV Gel polish that will improve the guest’s overall Gervasi experience. This role will contribute to the organization as an active business partner that is responsible for supporting the company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values.

Typical day in the life as a Nail Technician:

• Follows our protocols to provide the best service in the spa industry
• Demonstrates the expert skills necessary for performing all nail services.
• Educates the guest on the benefits of the services performed and is a retail expert on the specific products used.
• Drives retail revenue and sets goals.
• Makes each guest feel special and provides a unique experience every time
• Is a steward of the Gervasi brand making sure all treatment areas are prepared to the Gervasi standards.
• Monitor operating supplies for the department and report to management low inventory.
• Assist with keeping all areas clean including locker room and restrooms while exhibiting courteous hospitality to all guests.
• Cleans and folds laundry for services and changing rooms when needed.
• Assist in greeting and welcoming guests to the Spa, providing information for any inquiries, help to coordinate guest requests for services, and maintain impeccable cleanliness of the Spa.
• Demonstrate respect, sensitivity, and concern for guest needs in a professional manner.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested i.e., special guest requests or management requests.

What are we looking for?

• Has a professional Cosmetology license registered in the state of Ohio.
• Remains current on certifications and passionate for beauty and wellness, and motivation to continually evolve and be educated on the newest trends.
• Has a clear and current understanding of Ohio State Department Health codes and maintains a sanitary, clean, tidy workstation based on those Ohio State Board regulations. Holds team members accountable for maintaining the same standards.
• Due to the cyclical nature of the Spa Service industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs including select evenings, regular weekends, and Holidays, must be able to work all shifts and flexible schedules.
• Exquisite customer service and deep commitment to ensuring each client’s expectations are met or exceeded.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be computer literate.
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance
• Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with State/Local and GV Destination rules and regulations for compliance with stated policies, safe/efficient operations, and required regulatory compliance. Employees who violate such requirements will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
• Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by the Gervasi Management team from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
• 2 years of Cosmetology experience(preferred)
• Knowledge in Book4Time software(preferred)
