General Purpose: The
Nursing Director at
CareLiving, LLC will oversee the clinical care provided to clients, ensuring that all services meet or exceed state regulations and the highest standards of quality. This role involves developing care plans, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with non-medical in-home care licensing requirements. The Nursing Director plays a critical role in delivering excellent care and maintaining safety for clients in the home care setting.
Essential Functions: - Care Plan Development : Create and implement personalized care plans based on client assessments and individual needs.
- Compliance Oversight : Ensure all operations adhere to Virginia state home care licensing requirements and applicable regulations.
- Staff Training & Supervision : Oversee the training, supervision, and ongoing evaluation of caregiving staff, including CareLiving Companions, to maintain quality standards.
- Client and Family Communication : Serve as the main point of contact for clients and their families regarding any health-related concerns or questions.
- Collaboration : Work closely with administrative staff to develop and implement quality assurance and performance improvement programs.
- Health Oversight : Participate in client intake assessments and periodic reviews to ensure proper care documentation and care delivery standards.
- Emergency Response : Assist in emergency preparedness and response plans, ensuring staff are trained and prepared for emergencies.
Job Limitations: - Performing any duties outside the scope of Virginia's Nurse Practice Act or state regulations.
Minimum Qualifications: - Education/Certification : Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Virginia.
- Experience : A minimum of 5 years of experience in home care or healthcare management.
- Skills : Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to supervise caregiving staff while ensuring high-quality care.
- Compliance Knowledge : Extensive knowledge of Virginia home care regulations, compliance standards, and documentation practices.
- Transportation : Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of auto liability insurance if required to visit client homes.
Working Conditions: - Environment : Work is primarily office-based but may occasionally require home visits or fieldwork to ensure compliance and assist with client assessments.
- Physical Demands : Occasional standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods. Must be able to handle light physical tasks related to office management and supervision of client care.
Performance Metrics: - Regulatory Compliance : Maintain full compliance with all state licensing requirements and regulatory standards.
- Client Satisfaction : Ensure high levels of client and family satisfaction through effective care plans and staff supervision.
- Documentation Accuracy : Guarantee that all care plans and staff evaluations are documented accurately and on time.
