**Job Title: Summer Intern - Events Coordinator**
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking to gain hands-on experience in event planning? We are excited to offer a Summer Internship opportunity for an Events Coordinator! This role is perfect for rising juniors or seniors who are passionate about event planning, marketing, and project management.
As an Events Coordinator Intern, you will play a vital role in the success of our signature event, the Cruise Nights, which takes place every week from June 4 to August 27. This is a fantastic chance to develop your skills while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.
**Internship Details:**
- **Start Date:** Week of May 27
- **Availability:**
- Monday & Tuesday: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
- Wednesday: 9:30 AM - 9:30 PM
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with the Event Specialist to organize and execute Cruise Nights.
- Secure designated parking spots for food vendors and special events at the car show.
- Communicate with trophy sponsors to coordinate meeting times, prepare winner packages, and assist with award presentations, including capturing memorable photos of winners.
- Support vendor setup and guide them to their assigned locations, including food vendors and activity stations.
- Manage the Cruise Night registration table, ensuring a smooth experience for all attendees.
- Assist in planning and organizing corporate, community, and promotional events.
- Coordinate event logistics, including venue bookings, vendor communications, and preparation of materials.
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and post-event debriefs.
- Provide on-site support during events, including setup, registration, and attendee assistance.
**Requirements:**
- Currently pursuing a degree in Event Management, Marketing, Hospitality, Communications, or a related field (rising juniors or seniors preferred; graduate students are welcome).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with social media platforms.
- A creative mindset with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends for events.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Prior experience in event planning, marketing, or customer service.
- Familiarity with form-building software (e.g., Typeform) is a plus.
- Skills in graphic design or content creation (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) are a bonus.
