Position: Chinese Translator Company: Phoenix House Foundation Inc Location: California MO United States Contract Details: Fulltime Phoenix House Foundation Inc a leading nonprofit organization in the field of addiction and behavioral health treatment is seeking a fulltime Chinese Translator to join our team in California MO. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated individual to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those struggling with addiction and mental health issues. As a Chinese Translator you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and effective translation services for our Chinesespeaking clients. You will work closely with our clinical and administrative staff to ensure that all communication and documentation is accurately translated and culturally sensitive. This includes but is not limited to treatment plans progress notes educational materials and client correspondence. Key Responsibilities: Provide accurate and timely translation services for all Chinesespeaking clients and staff members Translate a variety of documents including treatment plans progress notes educational materials and client correspondence Ensure that all translated materials are culturally sensitive and accurately reflect the intended meaning Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure accurate communication and understanding between clients and staff members Attend meetings and appointments with clients as needed to provide interpretation services Maintain confidentiality of all client information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations Stay uptodate on industryspecific terminology and cultural nuances to ensure accurate translations Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisor Qualifications: Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) and English both written and verbal Bachelors degree in Translation Linguistics or a related field preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience in translation or interpretation Knowledge of medical and/or mental health terminology preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and accuracy Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed At Phoenix House Foundation Inc we believe in promoting a healthy worklife balance and providing our employees with a supportive and inclusive work environment.
