Job Summary:

ACI Learning is a global leader in audit, cybersecurity, and IT training solutions, dedicated to enhancing the technical skills and cybersecurity capabilities of individuals and organizations. We are expanding our leadership in the industry by developing a comprehensive SaaS Learning Platform, which goes beyond traditional audit, cybersecurity, and IT training. This platform integrates AI to provide knowledge assessments, analytics, and training delivery, empowering organizations to identify and address skill gaps efficiently.

As the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), you will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth by designing and executing an innovative go-to-market strategy. You will oversee the development of integrated marketing campaigns targeting a diverse range of audiences, including enterprises, channel partners, and consumers. In this senior leadership role, you will guide a high-performing marketing team, ensuring optimal allocation of resources across different business units and market segments.

Key responsibilities include managing the P&L for the Ecommerce business and partnering closely with Sales to scale the Enterprise business. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will lead all aspects of marketing, from customer and market analysis to campaign execution, with a focus on generating pipeline and revenue.

This role is critical to ACI Learning’s growth trajectory and offers the opportunity to lead and execute key strategic initiatives. Ideal candidates are those who excel in managing a diverse portfolio of products and customers, with a passion for selecting and implementing the most impactful strategies to drive success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive B2B revenue growth by collaborating with Sales on new customer acquisition, expanding relationships with existing customers, and maximizing cross-sell opportunities. Design and implement Account-Based Marketing (ABM), persona-based, product, and retention campaigns to increase pipeline and revenue.
  • Develop positioning, messaging, and launch strategies for a diverse product portfolio, including both internal offerings and third-party partnerships. Lead the Marketing Team in executing integrated product launches that provide a consistent customer experience.
  • Analyze and prioritize customer and market segments to strategically allocate resources, targeting ideal customers to maximize revenue and EBITDA.
  • Continuously refine and update ACI Learning’s brand narrative, including messaging and visual identity, to ensure a cohesive and compelling customer experience across all digital and physical touchpoints.
  • Establish and maintain a robust marketing and sales analytics framework to enable data-driven decision-making, helping Executive Leadership track progress and identify opportunities for investment that increase ROI.
  • Manage the global Individual and Corporate Ecommerce business with full P&L responsibility, ensuring profitability and revenue growth.
  • Develop and implement effective channel and partner campaigns, creating tools that enable partners to sell more effectively and contribute to ACI Learning’s revenue growth.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management to ensure strategic product investments align with the needs of key customer segments. Work in partnership with Sales to target the right segments for those products, with Sales Enablement and Onboarding falling under Marketing’s purview.
  • Build and lead a high-performing, accountable marketing team by focusing on talent development, team culture, and productivity. Achieve customer and revenue growth through coaching, hiring, and fostering a results-oriented environment.
  • Identify and implement best practices, processes, and tools to streamline marketing operations, enhance productivity, and improve overall marketing execution.
  • Serve as the executive presence for Marketing, representing the function to the Executive Leadership Team, Board, and external partners and customers. Clearly and effectively communicate the rationale behind Marketing strategies and initiatives.
  • Build and lead a high-performing, accountable marketing team by focusing on talent development, team culture, and productivity. Achieve customer and revenue growth through coaching, hiring, and fostering a results-oriented environment.
  • Identify and implement best practices, processes, and tools to streamline marketing operations, enhance productivity, and improve overall marketing execution.
  • Serve as the executive presence for Marketing, representing the function to the Executive Leadership Team, Board, and external partners and customers. Clearly and effectively communicate the rationale behind Marketing strategies and initiatives.

What’ll You Need (Requirements)

  • 15+ years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Experience managing managers of marketing teams.
  • 10+ years of experience marketing SaaS / software solutions through a direct sales model to businesses, enterprises, and channel customers.
  • Demonstrated track record of designing campaigns to close new enterprise logos and to grow existing customers that result in ARR and Pipeline increases.
  • Experience in successfully launching enterprise SaaS / software products, including working with Product Management to identify and effectively target ideal customer segments, create effective product positioning and messaging, and orchestrating across multiple teams within marketing to drive product awareness and adoption.
  • Candidates should also be able to speak to how they and their teams have maintained a continual customer connection. 
  • Demonstrated success in designing company brand and narratives that drive awareness with target customers.
  • Candidates should be able to speak to past awareness and brand marketing and how they personally contributed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.

What We'd Like You To Have: 

  • Previous experience as a CMO is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in product-led growth and consumer/business e-commerce go-to-market motions is a strong plus.
  • Experience in managing 3rd party Marketplace sales via e-commerce and in-product purchase is also a strong plus.
  • Experience in marketing to Cybersecurity, IT, and Talent Leaders is a plus.
  • An advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is preferred.
